「白蘿蔔或菜頭的生鮮菜苦味，不是直截了當的明朗通透，開場生澀草腥味與青菜味。不過，隨著時間推移，慢慢化開在底蘊的苦，卻讓氣味有咖啡色的土壤感，樸實扎根，呈現老式泥磚房的土氣味。菜味的尾巴有一些水感，像是白天不知道誰採收好放在村子口門邊的蘿蔔、蔬菜們，一夜過後有些露水的濕氣，混合著根莖或青椒的鮮甜氣味。」—《植物芬芳的日常異想》第三章．食之感 P.97

"The fresh, vegetal bitterness of white radish or daikon is not straightforwardly clear and transparent; it opens with a raw, grassy greenness mixed with leafy vegetable notes. However, as time passes, the bitterness in the base slowly dissolves, giving the scent an earthy, coffee-colored depth—grounded and unembellished, reminiscent of the soil of an old mud-brick house. The vegetal notes linger with a hint of moisture, like radishes and greens left at the village gate by an unknown hand during the day, now carrying the dewy freshness of the night, blending with the crisp sweetness of root vegetables or green peppers."
